Ideas to get you started
There's no one-size fits all when it comes to fundraising. Whatever you choose to do, the money you raise will help keep the oceans healthy, our forests standing, and fossil fuels in the ground.
Take on a physical challenge
Walk up a mountain, train for your longest run yet, or commit to a new daily step count. However you do it, getting fit and out into nature is a wonderful way to fundraise for our work protecting the natural world for us and for future generations.
Organise a vegan bake sale
Set yourself the challenge of creating tasty treats without using any animal products. Not only will your friends get to try some delicious snacks, their donations could go towards our work campaigning for a sustainable food system.
Go litter-picking in your local area
Litter contributes to biodiversity loss by trapping creatures and damaging habitats. A sponsored litter-pick in your local area could also raise funds to support our campaign to protect 30% of the planet for nature by 2030.
Host a clothes swap
The polyester in fast fashion is a plastic that can take centuries to break down. Instead of buying more, host a clothes swap for your friends and collect donations that could also support our campaign for a Global Plastics Treaty.

How the money you raise could help
For over fifty years, Greenpeace has been defending the natural world from destruction. From investigating and exposing crimes against the environment to confronting the governments and corporations responsible, we campaign for change wherever it’s necessary.
But without support from people like you, our work would stop. We don’t accept funding from governments, corporations, or political parties. Individual contributions, including donations to your event, are essential to our survival. The money you raise will help us get one step closer to realising our vision for a greener, healthier and more peaceful planet, one that can sustain life for generations to come.

It’s totally up to you! This is your fundraising so you can organise it for a time and place that suits you.
What if I'm not sure what to do?
You can fundraise for us in whatever way you’d like. We have some ideas to get you started in our fundraising pack. If you’re still stuck, feel free to get in contact with us via supporter.uk@greenpeace.org or give us a call on 020 4525 3241.
How long after my event can I continue fundraising?
Three months after your event, we’ll be in touch to check whether it’s OK for us to close your fundraising page, so make sure you’ve paid everything in by then.
What do I do with cash donations?
If you've received cash donations, get in touch with us at supporter.uk@greenpeace.org and we can advise on how best to get those to us.
