I’m taking on Greenpeace's 25 Mile Challenge - can you sponsor me?

I’m taking part in the 25 Mile Challenge this October, joining hundreds of people to raise money for Greenpeace, helping to protect this beautiful planet we call home. It would mean a lot if you could support me with a donation.

Your donation will help Greenpeace to fight the climate and nature emergencies, and to protect our world for people and animals today, as well as for future generations. If we all work together we can defend forests, protect oceans, fight climate change and make a brighter future possible!

Greenpeace never accepts money from companies or governments, so they depend on supporters, like us, to fund all of their campaigns.

Please sponsor me today and help to Protect What You Love, for who you love. Thank you!

Step by Step

Hi, I'm Paul - a 51yr old guy from Derbyshire.

I'm a supporter of Greenpeace and the amazing work they do in protecting our environment. Recently I was shown how Greenpeace relies on private donors to fund these actions and how much donations are a key factor in this.

I've decided to help by taking on the 25 mile challenge in September. I've never done anything like this in the past but felt it a good cause and a motivating part of my exercise push.

I suffer from a spinal condition that limits my physical abilities - often I can be unable to walk completely. I was paralysed from the waist down in 2009 but thankfully following a spinal op I was able to walk again. Mine is a condition that is progressive and inoperable (or at least so risky it's not an option any surgeon would wish to attempt unless I was paralysed again).

Though exercise is often hard work and painful it is important I keep fit and mobile therefore this challenge is perfect - encouraging me to get out each day it is practical and stack up the miles.

Taken over the month that allows me freedom to take a rest day or two should I need it as I don't want to cause any injury or worsen my condition. Slow and steady is the key

If you could donate a little to help me reach my target of £100 I would really appreciate it. It motivates me to keep moving and most importantly to help Greenpeace work towards a more healthy environment for us and our children.

Thanks for reading :-)
